...all things pertaining to the warmth and coziness of home

About

Hi there!
So glad that you stopped by.
Welcome to the Parlor Room.
My name is Diane.
I love what the Parlor Room represented:

Gathering of friends and family,
Laughter,
Sharing,
Entertaining,
Beauty of the Home,
Ponderings of the heart.

Parlor Room Ponderings

I am drawn to treasures of the past.
I wonder about where they have been.
I love their uniqueness and character
I enjoy thrift shopping, flea markets and antique shops.
I like to incorporate old and new.
I am not a master decorator, but I love rearranging and making room for a new found piece.

I strive to create an atmosphere of warmth in my home.
I have received many comments from friends that my home is peaceful.

Besides shopping, I enjoy baking and cooking and am always on the lookout for new recipes.
I love crafty projects.
My very first hobby was cross-stitch.
I have sewn "primitive" (old Raggedy Ann dolls) crafts for several shops.
That was a lot of sewing, and done before working out of the home again.

You can find these patterns here at the Sweet Meadows Farm on Etsy.

I am a Registered Practical Nurse, and have been for 23 years.
I work for a Family Physician so my days stay busy.
 I love my job!

Doug and I have been married for 20 years. We have one son.
My husband Doug and I.
Our wonderful son Josh is 19.
Todd    Maddy   Snoopy (Snoops, Snoopers, Snoop Cat)
The feline part of our family.

The most important thing about me is that I am a Christian.
I met Jesus when I was just 9 years old, and am so grateful that I have God
involved in my life each and everyday.

I look forward to meeting you and I pray that there would be something on my blog
that would be a blessing to you.

Blessings,
